The producer

Tor Hyams 

Grammy® nominated songwriter and producer Tor Hyams has produced and written for Diane Warren, Joan Osborne, Howie D. (Backstreet Boys), Lou Rawls, Isaac Hayes, Michelle Branch, JC Chasez, Vivian Campbell, Edwin McCain, Lisa Loeb, Perry Farrell, Broadway Star Rachel York, Gretchen Parlato, and many more, including an award-winning, star-studded children's album called "A World of Happiness," which he released on Disney Records. It featured performances from Samuel L. Jackson, Magic Johnson, Lou Rawls, Isaac Hayes, Debbie Harry, Gary Oldman, Perry Farrell, and many others.

 

Hyams conceived and developed Kidzapalooza as a family festival nested within the Lollapalooza Festival. He then went on to produce several more family stages, including Austin Kiddie Limits as part of Austin City Limits, and the kids stages at the Hangout Music Festival, Westbeach Music Festival, KindieFest and the Recess Music Festival. Tor’s live event status culminated with the White House Easter Egg Roll four consecutive years in a row.

 

In musical theatre, Tor wrote and produced Greenwood, an original musical for the stage, which premiered at the 2011 New York Musical Theater Festival (NYMF). With Lisa Rothauser, Tor wrote Stealing Time, which premiered at the NYMF 2012 and has since been featured at the Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival and at the Johnny Mercer Writer’s Colony at Goodspeed Opera House. He also co-wrote and musical directs LIFE. Who Knew?, a one-woman show that tours across the country. He is also currently commissioned to write Green Acres, The Musical and is working on several original projects as well, including Love. Who Knew? With actor/author John Cariani. Tor & Lisa are also developing an original musical for young audiences with Backstreet Boys singer, Howie D.
